NEWPORT and Cowes Sports are officially on the road to Wembley after winning their extra-preliminary round matches in the FA Cup today (Saturday).

Newport cruised through against Hamworthy courtesy of a Scott Jones double in the first half of their match at St George's Park, while Cowes Sports ground out a 1-0 win at home to Team Solent.
The game had been looking like going to a replay but thanks to a diving header from Jordan Browne in the 81st minute, the Yachtsmen got through.
It was an awful day at the office, however, for East Cowes Vics in division 1 of the Sydenhams Wessex League.
They lost 7-1 at home to Amesbury Town, Chris Elliot scoring their consolation.
