Two men shot in a Neasden street were ïGood SamaritansÍ trying to help a young couple who were being assaulted.
Police hunting the gunmen say the victims were shot as they intervened to stop an assault in Verney Street at 6.30pm on April 24.
Two men in a blue Vauxhall Tigra drove into Verney Street, got out of the car and approached a young man and woman. An argument took place and the young couple were assaulted.
The assault was seen by two men who were further along the street. When they tried to intervene they were both shot, one in the chest and the other in the side and arm.
The gunmen got back into the Tigra and accelerated towards the injured men before turning left out of Blackbird Hill.
Both gunmen were black, aged in their early to mid 20s, 5ft6 to 5ft10 tall and were wearing large quantities of jewellery. The driver wore a white T-shirt, baseball cap and dark trousers. Any information to 020 8358 1753.
