EAST Cowes Vics moved off the bottom of the league with a brilliant 2-1 win at home to Totton and Eling today (Saturday).
Joe Craig's late header after a superb run and cross from Ji Nash ensured Vics leapfrogged Pewsey Vale in Division 1 of the Sydenhams Wessex League.
Jimmi Burton smashed in from close range to put the hosts ahead, before Totton and Eling levelled with a penalty close to half-time.
Vics goalkeeper Cameron Farley made a string of fine saves in the second-half but Craig's late goal deservedly earned all three points for the Island side.
In the Premier Division, Newport and Cowes Sports' matches were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
