NORTHWOOD and W & B secured a Hampshire Cup double for the Isle of Wight with superb wins in their respective finals on Saturday.

Northwood kicked-off the double header at AFC Portchester by beating Broughton 3-1 in the Hampshire Junior A Cup final.

Despite going a goal behind early on, Northwood hit back through Joe Tigwell, Sam Saunders and Connor Furmidge.

Northwood were reduced to ten men after Simon Williams was sent off, while Broughton finished with nine following two second-half red cards.

In the Hampshire Intermediate Cup final, W & B beat Locks Heath 3-0, despite having Matt Evans sent off inside the opening five minutes.

Evans was given his marching orders after the referee said he reacted to a bad challenge.

However, Josh Appell and a Wayne Newnham penalty put W & B 2-0 ahead at half time and Alek Przespolewski sealed the win in the second-half.
