Hit pop video is shot on campus

TUESDAY MAY 23.

THE glamorous world of pop has put Middlesex University at the top of the charts.

Number one hit Toca's Miracle by Fragma featuring Coco had its accompanying video filmed in the sports hall at the university's Trent Park campus.

The video, which features two teams of women footballers playing a five-a-side indoor game, helped propel the dance track to the top spot a week after release.

Toca's Miracle is still riding high in the charts at number 11 after a month in the top ten.

The video's producer, Dhara Aspinall, said: 'We looked around at quite a few venues and decided that the university sports hall fitted the bill.'

The video also provided a big break for second year criminology student Ulrika Hammerin from the university's women's football team. She appears in the video showing off her ball control skills.

Ulrika beat off stiff competition from 200 hopefuls who auditioned for a part.

She said: 'It's great fun. I feel like a star.

'The video features two teams, one good and one bad. I play in the good team along with Coco. We start the game by being the underdogs, but then go on to claim victory.'

Playing football is not just an act for Swedish-born Ulrika. She has just signed a contract with the Tottenham Hotspur ladies team to play semi-professionally.
