NEWPORT returned to winning ways with a dramatic victory over Bashley tonight (Tuesday).

A last-minute penalty, missed by Aidan Sainsbury before he put in the rebound, gave Newport a 3-2 victory at St George's Park.

Joe Butcher and Connor Kelly also scored for Newport, who had been pegged back twice by the visitors before Sainsbury's strike.

Elsewhere, a dubious penalty decision ended up costing Cowes Sports, who had taken the lead at Blackfield and Langley through Jordan Browne.

However, the hosts equalised with the controversial spot kick and went on to win the match 3-1, with all the goals scored in the second half.

In Division 1, East Cowes Vics were beaten 3-0 at AFC Stoneham.
