Novice triathlete Christine Santell, from Lewisham, steamed past Eltham's Eleanor Woodward to pip her to the winning line in the under 15s' 800m race with 12-year-old Christina Carter, also from Eltham, setting a personal best for her fourth place.
Paul Atkins, who joined the club after spotting a request for athletes in the News Shopper, steamed along on the shoulders of Cambridge's finest to clinch second place in the boys' 800m race.
Next up for Couer De Lion athletes were the Borough Championships in Lewisham where Christine Santell was first across the line in the 800m. She also booked her place in the London Championships, on June 10, in the process.
Five-kilometre triathlete Christina Carter also shone, clinching second in both the 800m and 1,500m to secure two berths in the London Championships.
