The ladies met Ashford Town in the decider at Welling United's ground in Park View Road, and they not ony won the trophy but slammed an amazing 12 goals past their beleaguered rivals.

From the moment that Emma Moore put Charlton ahead with a low shot after five minutes the writing was on the wall for Ashford.

Emma then netted four more goals and was given superb support by team-mates Deb Watling and Sarah White, who got two each, and one apiece from Nicola Morris, Danielle Webb and Gemma Jones.

Captain Karen Denny said: "We were very strong and I think you can see the influence the new Charlton Centre of Excellence has made, with several of the girls now coming through into the team."

The cup victory for the Charlton team made up for the disappointment at missing out on promotiton to the National Division One South after finishing runners-up to Chelsea in the South-east Combination League.
