Tom McInnes scored two goals for Newport last night.
FOOTBALL
NEWPORT’S unbeaten run in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division continued last night (Tuesday) with a well-earned 2-2 draw at Moneyfields.
The side are one of only a handful in the league who have not yet lost, and took the point from the league leaders, thanks to two first-half goals from Tom McInnes. They finished the match with ten men after they used all their substitutes before a one of the players was forced from the field injured.
In Division 1, Cowes Sports romped to an 8-2 win over Ringwood Town at Westwood Park, Darren Williams and Gareth Bricknell both netting hat-tricks.
The other goals were scored by Tom Dye and Lee Davies.
