NEWPORT and Brading Town are both through to the next round of the FA Cup after impressive away wins at Reading Town and Corsham Town respectively.
It took until the second half for Newport to get off the mark in their match, which was played at a neutral ground in Newbury.
Wayne Newnham started and ended the Newport scoring, chipping the keeper to make it 1-0, and heading in to make it 4-1.
The other two Newport goals were scored by Charlie Smeeton and Scott Sampson.
Meanwhile, Brading fought hard to defeat Corsham Town, scoring the only goal of the game with ten minutes remaining, Ollie Buckett doing the honours.
Back in Sydenhams Wessex League action, Cowes Sports were held to a 1-1 draw away with Amesbury Town but will feel hard done by after leading for most of the match. Amesbury equalised with a last-minute penalty.
East Cowes Vics travelled to Whitchurch United and lost 3-0
