A LAST-GASP winner from Mark Augustus kept Newport's FA Cup dream alive today (Saturday) as they defeated Kidlington at St George's Park.
After a turgid and often frustrating match, which had replay written all over it, super-sub Augustus popped up to slot home the winner with two minutes remaining.
The side will take on Reading Town or Warminster on August 28, at a venue to be announced.
Meanwhile, Brading Town are still in the competition but face a replay, after a 1-1 draw at home to Romsey Town. GC Giancovich netted the Romans' goal.
On Friday night, Cowes Sports exited the competition after their match, due to be played today, was hastily rearranged by opponents Ringwood Town.
The Yachtsmen eventually went down 5-0.
In Division 1 of the Sydenhams Wessex League, East Cowes Vics lost 4-2 at home to US Portsmouth. Their goals came from John McKie and Casey Tyrell.
And Oakfield and West Wight have booked their place in the next round of the IW Challenge Cup after victories over Shanklin and Newport Reserves respectively.
