TOM McInnes hit a milestone in Newport's 4-0 win away at Romsey Town today (Saturday).

The striker scored his 100th goal for the club in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division clash, to round off a great win.

Earlier goals from Matt Evans, Iain Seabrook and GC Giancovich had put the Islanders clear. The win, coupled with other results over the festive period, puts them third in the table.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Cowes Sports had their longest trip of the season, but it was worth it.

The side went to third-placed Pewsey Vale and, with minutes to go, took all three points with a goal from Lee Davies.
