FOOTBALL: Orpington and District's U11 team narrowly missed winning a place in the Kent finals of the Adidas Predator Seven-A-Side Competition. A win, two draws and a loss was not quite enough to take them through their group which featured St Augustine's (Canterbury), Bexley and Aylesford. However, the lads were victorious in their first full inter-district match against Wandsworth. Shaun Cross scored two, with Harry Downer and Mark Bishop each converting during the 4-2 victory.

TENNIS: Clive London from Orpington, has qualified for the men's open national finals of The Guardian Direct British Futures tennis tournament in Shropshire. Clive goes for glory at the Telford International Racket Centre over the weekend of October 31 and November 1. Keep your eyes open for the results.

GOLF: Langley Park professional golfer Paul Lyons finished 10th in the PGA Assistants' Final at Bearwood Lakes, Wokingham. His score of 287 left him on one under par, seven shots behind winner Andrew Raitt from St George's Hill, Surrey.

FOOTBALL: Chislehurst C of E Primary School defeated Crofton Primary 2-1 in the final of the Adidas Predator Six-a-side tournament for the Orpington area. Chislehurst now go on to represent Orpington in the county finals on November 21.
