FOOTBALL
HARD work and dedication have paid off for one young footballer, who has been signed by Woking Town.
Sam Turner, 17, was playing for Kynges Town in Brading, when he was snapped up by the Blue Square South league club.
The Sandown youngster was chosen from hundreds of other young players through Woking’s academy.
The former Carisbrooke High School student is now in pre-season training with the club and has joined Merrist Wood College, near Guildford, to study sport.
