The Torrington Arms in North Finchley is a finalist in the Music Pub of the Year Awards.
Organised by The Licensee and Morning Advertiser, a reporter nominated the pub after visiting one of their various music nights.
"I'm delighted we have got so far," said manager Tim Whatling. "We hold three or four different music nights a week, including an acoustic show once a month."
To celebrate its nomination and to raise money for the North London Hospice, the Torrington Arms is putting together a compilation album of the best bands who have played there.
"We've had some great bands and singers here in the past who've gone on to great things, such as Robert Palmer, Elkie Brooks, Supertramp and the Troggs. Who knows, we might end up with a number one." said Mr Whatling.
The awards are open to pubs from all over the country. The winners will be announced on April 22.
