Six of the best from Vics

EAST Cowes Vics ended 2012 on a high with a romping 6-2 win over Andover New Street at Beatrice Avenue today (Saturday).

The hosts came from behind twice before running away with the game in the second half.
After Andover took an unlikely lead, Vics quickly equalised through Matt Evans. In the second half, Andover again regained the advantage but it lasted only one minute, as Evans scored his second with a penalty immediately after.
After Evans completed his hat-trick, further goals came from Wayne Newnham, Keelan Sainsbury and Joe Adams to give manager Steve Taylor his first victory since taking the Vics' hot seat.
Newport's trip to Hayling United, and Cowes Sports' scheduled trip to Ringwood Town, were both called off because of waterlogged pitches.
