Vics hammered by leaders

EAST Cowes Vics suffered one of their heaviest ever defeats today (Saturday) at Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1 leaders, Andover Town.

The side lost 11-0, conceding seven goals in the first 75 minutes and then, after a brief delay from a torrential downpour, conceded another four.

It was not a good day for the senior sides, Cowes Sports had their game at Amesbury Town called off, while in the Premier Division, Newport lost 1-0 at home to Folland Sportrs, an own goal leading to their defeat.
