EAST Cowes Vics had two players sent off after a fiery end to their Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1 match at Amesbury Town.

Vics had twice come from behind to seal a point with a 2-2 draw, Josh Appell and Keelan Sainsbury scoring for the Islanders.

But at the final whistle, tempers flared and as a result, Amesbury had one of their players red-carded, while for Vics, Adam Howarth and Adam Sunsberg were dismissed.

In the Premier League, Newport were held to a 1-1 draw at home by GE Hamble, both goals coming on the stroke of half time.

Martin McDonough had given the Port the lead but almost immediately, Hamble replied.
