Weather could stop Butler's Portsmouth return

ISLAND footballer Dan Butler is once again in the frame for a Portsmouth first team spot, but the weather could halt his chance for a second consecutive week.

Defender Butler, 18, was named in the first team squad for last week's game at home to Notts County but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Fratton Park.
Now, after the departure of six major players to save cash, Butler is one of just 13 players in the squad, raising his chances of a team selection.
However, he may yet have to wait another week as Portsmouth's next League One match, on Saturday, is at snow-hit Scunthorpe.
Butler made his Portsmouth debut at the beginning of the season in the Capital One Cup against Plymouth, but has been on loan to Havant and Waterloovile for the last two months.
