With their wreaths after last year’s event at Ventnor Botanic Garden are, from left, Sally Peake, Lucy Evans, Lucy Dabell, Bridget Monk-Evans, Ellemiek Drucker and, front, Christine Benson.
GARDENINGCHRISTMAS wreathmaking takes place at Ventnor Botanic Garden next Saturday, December 17, between 2pm and 4pm in the Echium Room.
All materials and help are supplied to make a gorgeous natural wreath for your front door. Booking is essential as this is always very popular. The cost is £10 for members of Ventnor Botanic Garden Friends’ Society and £12 for non-members. The proceeds support the Friends’ work for the garden.
For members of the family not involved in making wreaths, there will be plenty to do and see at the garden as the Royal Garden Cafe is hosting its Christmas fair with loads of stalls and gift ideas.
The Friends’ Sally Peake said: "Thinking of Christmas gift ideas? Why not support the garden by giving someone a gift membership — the gift that will last all year and help to support our very own garden."
• Details of wreathmaking and how to send a gift membership are available from Sally on 01983 731403 or by e-mail to sally.peake@btinternet.com
