Regarding last week's comment by Matt Bamsey about attacks on refugees after the terrorist outrage in America.

It should, of course, be pointed out that as disgraceful as they are, they are not necessarily the most horrific.

Indeed, the first person to be murdered because of the volatile situation which now exists was not a refugee, Afghan, Muslim or Asian at all but a white teenager.

He was beaten and stabbed by a mob which chanted pro-Bin Laden slogans, last month.

Why this truly horrific event was only reported in a local newspaper, the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, is a mystery to me.

It may well be political correctness but how can it be right when national TV, radio and newspapers ignore this murder yet publicise other, non-fatal attacks which have taken place following the WTC tragedy?

Surely the fact the murder victim was white can't have anything to do with it, can it? After all, as Matt pointed out, we live in a multi-cultural/multi-racial society which should treat everyone the same.
