THE fight against crime in Bromley has been strengthened with the announcement £40,000 has been made available to map and analyse crime in the town.
The money, awarded to Bromleys Community Safety Partnership by the Government Office for London, will allow the police and council to monitor the type and frequency of crime by area and to identify where resources should be concentrated.
Information will be entered into a central database which will include offender, victim, crime statistics and CCTV camera sites.
Community Safety Partnership chairman, Councillor Rob Yeldham said the database would allow for the allocation of resources to ensure areas targeted for crime prevention are those which need it most.
