Holly celebrates team's triple win

HOCKEYISLAND hockey teen Holly Newton has helped her team to a triple title-winning season.

The 15 year old plays for Trojans Hockey Club in Southampton, which has this year won the National Indoor Championship the U16 Hampshire League and now the Hampshire Cup.

After several rounds, the final was played against rivals Southampton, with Trojans winning 4-0.

Holly, of Whiteley Bank, will now turn her attention to competition with Sandown Athletics Club but hopes to trial for England youth squad later this year. Currently a student at Medina High, Holly has applied to study for a three-year National Diploma in sport at Carisbrooke High next year.
