Under-14s - IW Lightning 2, Streatham 4
WIGHTLINK Raiders coach Jeremy Cornish took over as bench coach for this game and, while the Island side performed well for him, Streatham’s good run of form continued.
Lightning took the lead through Brandon Wright, after six minutes but in the second period, Streatham found their flow and scored two quick goals to take the lead. Netminder Jake Bontoft kept the score down with two outstanding double saves in the period.
The final period featured another goal for Streatham and although Wright’s second goal, assisted by man of the match Sean Molloy, narrowed the gap once more, the London side scored an empty-net goal at the death to take the points.
Spirit of the game was Charlie Royal.

Under-16s - IW Thunder 5, Streatham 0
In only the Thunder’s sixth game of the season, the Island side knew this would be a tough battle but they came through with flying colours.
After a goalless first period, Thunder came out all guns blazing for the second session and Aidan Doughty opened the account while shorthanded.
This got the ball rolling, and 36 seconds later they were 2-0 up, Doughty netting another.
The third period began with Streatham on the offensive, Elliott Powell making some good early saves.
With Thunder growing in confidence it was only a matter of time before the third goal was scored and it came again from Doughty, tipping in from good work by Archie Bicknell.
Bicknell and Doughty teamed up again for goal four, with Doughty assisting Bicknell’s strike. However, Doughty had the last word with the fifth and final goal.
Man of the match was Sean Molloy, with Ben Thomas-Hart earning spirit of the game.
