TIGERS maintained their winning form last weekend, defeating Chelmsford in a real thriller at Ryde Arena.

The Island side came flying out of the blocks, going 3-0 up after just five minutes, with goals from Graham Macfarlane, a first of the season for Jamie Lee and player-coach Jason Coles.

Chelmsford responded with two goals of their own to keep it close, before a powerplay effort from Coles was matched by another Warriors’ effort.

Tigers looked to be coasting at 7-4 up with just 12 minutes remaining and although Chelmsford climbed back into it to make it a one-goal game, with just a few minutes remaining, Tigers held on.

Tigers are now away for two weeks at Bristol and Chelmsford, with the next home game on the December 18, when leaders Solent and Gosport visit Ryde Arena.
