Sponsorship helps swimmers go faster

Friday, June 19, 2009

ISLAND GAMES SWIMMINGMEMBERS of the IW Swimming Team for the next week’s Island Games in Aland have received a huge boost this week in their quest for medals.

Island-based water exercise company Hydro-Actif, has offered major sponsorship for the team in the form of discounted racing costumes.

Hydro-Actif is a stockist of educational materials, clothing and equipment for all water exercise, founded in 1994 by Steph Toogood, herself no stranger to success winning multiple awards and accolades.

When races can be won or lost in a 100th of a second, these cutting-edge swim suits will enable the team to perform at their very best and on a par with other islands involved.

Some of the costumes supplied through Hydro-Actif include the new LZR Racer, as worn by world record holder and eight-time Olympic gold medallist in Beijing, Michael Phelps.
