20.42: FOOTBALL - IW men go 3-0 up with a tap-in from Kyle Levrier. They earlier doubled their first-half advantage through Charlie Smeeton.

20.29: SHOOTING - BRONZE: The IW win bronze in the ISSF 300m centre fire prone rifle at Sainham, Godshill, courtesy of the sharp shooting of Roy Wade and Mark Geernaert-Davies.

20.25: SHOOTING - In the men's 50m free pistol, IW pair Tony Elgar and Matt Reed miss out on bronze by just one point. Matt scored 525, the second best individual score of the contest. Tony shot 463.

20.00: FOOTBALL - Our service is back up and running for now and we can tell you the IW men are 1-0 up against Ynys Mon at a packed St George's Park. Iain Seabrook scored from a penalty.

19.33: ATHLETICS - GOLD: Andy Frost won gold with his record throw.

18.46: We are currently experiencing technical problems. This may affect our live coverage.

18.40: ATHLETICS - Andy Frost is around 20m ahead of his nearest rival. Jaryd Robinson wins his heat in the men's 200m.

18.29: ATHLETICS - GAMES RECORD: IW's Andy Frost has just thrown 70.61m in the hammer final, a new games record. He's already thrown 62.93m and 68.83m.

18.29: ATHLETICS - In other athletics news, Keno Mario-Ghae is still in the high jump final, having leapt 1.80m, while Emily Newton has made the semi-finals of the 100m ladies after winning her heat in 12.79 seconds. Paige Baldwin also qualifies.

18.00: TABLE TENNIS - The IW table tennis team is enjoying great form in the team event at Ryde School. They defeated Isle of Man 5-2 and are unbeaten so far.

17.56: SQUASH - In the squash team event, the IW lost 5-0 to Jersey, but are currently 4-0 up against Bermuda.

17.54: BASKETBALL - In the ladies' basketball, the IW lost their opening group match 57-30 to Guernsey.

17.52: BADMINTON - In the badminton team competition, IW bounce back to defeat Shetland Islands 4-1.

17.49: HALF MARATHON - BREAKING NEWS: The IW ladies' half marathon team did not win bronze this morning after all. Both they and another team from the Western Isles scored the same number of points, but one of their runners did slightly better, so they take bronze instead.

17.15: FOOTBALL - IW ladies football win their opening group match against Hitra 3 – 0.

16.45: CYCLING - GOLD: Guernsey win their fourth gold medal of the day in the men's criterion. Kieran Page comes fifth, Tim Hutchings comes seventh.

16.36: WINDSURFING - Windsurfing has been cancelled. 

16.05: SHOOTING - Richard Wilson comes fourth in the 10m air rifle team final, despite teammate Ian Gear not competing. He scored 559. 

15.39: CYCLING - The Criterion has been restarted, One of the riders injured in the crash has a broken collarbone. 

15.29: SAILING - Sailing results for laser standard are in. First race 1 Dyrid Mon (YSM), Jose-Louis Sastre (MEN), Brett Wright (BER). 2nd race Brett Wright (BER), Paul Bowen (IOW), Dominic Breen-Turner (YSM).

15.17: CYCLING - Men's Criterion suspended temporarily. Two riders from Saaremaa, one from Guernsey and one from Menorca were injured in the crash.

15.04: CYCLING - There has been a big crash on the second corner in the men's Criterion. Ten riders out, four injured.

15.03. CYCLING - The men's Criterion has started at Ventnor. The women's race was won by Guernsey with Nina French from the IW coming 13th.

14.49: VOLLEYBALL - In the men's volleyball, the IW lost their first group match 3 – 0 to Favourites Åland

14.42: BAMDINTON - In the badminton team event, IW lost 4 – 1 to the Faroe Islands.

14.41: TENNIS - In the men's team tennis, the IW go out in the round of 16 stage, losing 2 – 0 to Saaremaa.

14.40: TENNIS - IW ladies tennis team exit the team event at the quarter final stage, losing 2 – 1 to the Isle of Man.

13.20: SHOOTING - Rifleman Richard Wilson's quest to win six medals seems to be scuppered early after his team mate Ian Gear has not appeared for the final of the men's 10m air rifle team event at Hasely Manor.

13.19: WINDSURFING - Windsurfing due to begin at 2pm after fog and lack of wind.

13.18: TABLE TENNIS - The IW table tennis team has won it's first group match against the Shetland Islands 6 – 1. A great result.

12.03: HALF MARATHON - The IW's men's placings were as follows: Kristian Rowdon 19th, Simon McMorran 22nd, Jack Grundy 24th.

12.00: HALF MARATHON - BRONZE: Breaking news, the IW women's half marathon team of Sharon McNally, Mary Norman and Laura Brackley, win the IW's first medal with bronze in team event. Individually, Laura came eighth, Mary came 15th and Sharon 16th.

10.52: HALF MARATHON - Johanna Kahlroth of Aland wins the women's race in 1.22.09. Just behind is the top IW runner, Kristian Rowdon. No sign of prospect Jack Grundy yet.

10.49: SAILING - Despite the foggy conditions, sailing will start at Yaverland Sailing Club this morning.

10.41: HALF MARATHON - GOLD: The first medal of the NatWest Island Games is won by Guernsey's Lee Merrien. He finished the half marathon in 1.08.36. Silver goes to Kevin Loundes, of the Isle of Man, with bronze going to Sean Trott, of Bermuda.

10.04: HALF MARATHON - Guernsey's Lee Merrien, the hot favourite and the top British runner at this year's London Marathon, is leading the half marathon.

09.44: HALF MARATHON - The IW six running are, for the men, Jack Grundy, Simon McMorran and Kristian Rowdon. For the ladies, Mary Norman, Sharon McNally and Laura Brackley are competing. There are quiet hopes trackside that Grundy could finish top five, while the ladies could grab a team bronze.

09.33: Good morning and welcome to the first day of live coverage for the 14th NatWest Island Games, here on the IW. Around 50 runners from the 24 participating islands have set off on the men's and ladies' half marathon. Six IW runners are taking part, with Jack Grundy heading the very early running.
