Brading project needs help

Friday, February 12, 2010

ISLANDERS REUNITEDFrom Mrs Molly E. Pewsey, Verona, 58 New Road, Brading:

The staff and associates of Brading CE Primary School are hoping to produce a book to celebrate the 100 years since its foundation in 1910.

There were two schools in existence at the time the amalgamation took place in 1949; the above mentioned school and the church school (National), which is now the youth club opposite St Mary’s Church.

To give a flavour of education in Brading over the years, we are asking for anyone who attended either of the two schools, or had a part to play in the running of them in any way, for example as a caretaker, and who may like to contribute their memories, to contact me at the above address or on 01983 407300.
