ISLANDERS REUNITEDFrom William Gorman, 18A North Main Street, Wigtown, Newton Stewart, Scotland, DG8 9HL. E-mail: wgorman@hotmail.com

FOR the past seven years, I have been interviewing Second World War veterans who served in the 44 Lowland Brigade of the 15th Scottish Division. So far, I have met more than 70.

There was quite an even spread of young men from all over the country who served in this division.

But the clock is against me — the youngest of the veterans are in their mid-80s. I am now appealing for readers who served in the brigade to contact me with information.
