TWO young pianists who met at the Royal Academy of Music will be playing for Beaconsfield Music Society next week.
Philip Moore and Simon Crawford-Phillips have played together since 1995, when they met as students of Hamish Milne at the Royal Academy.
Previous performances have been described as 'incomparable technical excellence' and 'display of technical wizardry' and this one on February 16 should be no different.
At the show the duo will play works by Debussy, Beethoven, Schubert, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky.
Mary Hird, secretary of the society, says: "This is another welcome contribution to our season by fine young artists promoted by the Countess of Munster Trust."
In recent years Philip and Simon have made debuts at London's Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room, given a recorded recital for the BBC at the Turner Sims Concert Hall and been featured on Radio Three's In Tune.
The concert starts at 7.45pm on February 16 at Beaconsfield High School and tickets are available from Drysdales, 8 Burkes Parade, Beaconsfield or telephone 01494 673905
