Addiscombe Ladies 2nd X1 4 Reigate 0

Addiscombe Ladies' second XI maintained top spot in Surrey Ladies Division Six with an excellant 4-0 home win over Reigate 5s in appalling conditions at Monks Hill on the weekend.

Addiscombe quickly established a hold on the game when Louise Dalton worked an opening in the Reigate D to place a fierce shot into the backboard.

With the midfield of Helen Squires, Di Thomas and Sue Cook in control, Addiscombe increased their lead as Dalton took advantage of poor marking for her second.

Addiscombe's third came from a penalty corner as Sue Cook forced the ball home despite the close attention of the Reigate keeper.

Addiscombe completed a busy first half when Dalton sent a powerful shot against the post which the alert Carol Driver was able to flick past the helpless Reigate keeper.

After the break, Addiscombe pushed forward but were unable to add to their tally thanks largely to inspired Reigate goalkeeping.

Addiscombe's 1st XI travelled to Camberly and secured a valuable 2-0 win to remain in second spot.

Addiscombe completely dominated with keeper Debbie Davis virtually unemployed.

Claire Messom continued her remarkable scoring run with a reverse stick shot providing her 16th of the season. The second goal came from the stick of Michelle Glaister.

On Sunday Addiscombe's mixed team entertained Dulwich in the first round of the National Mixed Cup and ran out 5-1 winners.

Rob Butlin and Sally Roscoe snared doubles while Claire Messom also scored in an excellent team performance. Keeper Michael Clark also had a solid match, producing a string of outstanding saves to frustrate the Dulwich forwards.
