ISLANDERS REUNITED From Mrs E. Roberts, 3 Hamble Avenue, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey GU17 0HP:

I AM trying to trace any descendants of Henry and Mary James (nee Kelly), born in 1881 and 1882 respectively, in Camberwell, London. Henry died in the First World War in 1917.

They had seven children, born between 1903 and 1916 in Camberwell.

I understand the family moved to the Island, at some stage after Henry’s death.

I know their daughter, Annie Matilda James (born 1907), married John Alexander Menday at St John’s Church, Oakfield, Ryde, in 1929.

She died on the Island in 1947. My grandmother, Emily, was one of Henry’s four sisters.
