LETTERSFrom Alan Stone, Cranmore:
GIVEN the controversy about the marinaisation of Yarmouth Harbour you’d have thought the commissioners might have shown more sense.
The pink piles (pictured) are a hideous embarrassment — a harbour as designed by an eight-year-old Barbie fan.
Surely modern sailors can find their way across 50 yards of harbour without these beacons of bad taste.
Perhaps the council’s conservation officers can persuade the commissioners to put their pink poles away and use some more traditional maritime colours or designs. Most sailors can recognise numbers, for example.
