YOUNGSTERS from six Harlow schools have been taking part in the Nestle Tops for Education scheme.

The initiative saw the schools collecting the Box Top tokens from the top of Nestle breakfast cereal packets, with each one earning the school 10p.

The money can then be spent on books, trips, musical instruments, computer and schools equipment.

The local schools which took part were St Lukes, St James, Abbotsweld, Church Langley schools, Harlow; St Nicholas School and Harlowbury Primary School, Old Harlow.

The scheme will resume again in June and will run until next March. Schools wanting to register should ring 0700 269 8677.
