LETTERS From Helena Coleman, Yafford:
I DO not think David Atkin, of East Cowes, is a bit thick when suggesting less water in East Cowes paddling pool would save £40,000 (CP, 01-03-13).
I think he has loads of common sense and practical initiative. Why isn’t he on the IW Council? Perhaps one of their main qualifications should be a common sense BA.
They really need to consider ideas that would not cost thousands of pounds. They are wasting taxpayers’ money and ruining the basic commodities (closing village schools and libraries). Perhaps they should heed the National Trust motto — two ears and one mouth.
