LETTERSFrom Katrina Catling, East Cowes:
my dad lost his gold chain necklace at the Medina Leisure Centre, Newport, while using the gym on Monday.

It was a present from his mum and he hasn’t taken it off in 26 years, apart from to have it mended once. Since she is no longer with us, it is of great sentimental importance to him and my dad was so sad when he realised it was gone.
His hopes were down until Tuesday. He went back to the leisure centre and someone had handed it in.
I have never been happier for him, I really wish I could thank whoever did this and I’m trying hard to find out who it was.
If anyone knows anything, please let me know. I am just so thankful there are still honest people in this world who do the right thing.
