May 10, 2001 15:18: A £150,000 travel information centre to help commuters get clear and up-to-date details has opened at The Glades shopping centre.
It will provide tickets and travel information for all public transport services across Greater London as well as theatres and sightseeing tour tickets.
Speaking at the opening, London Buses chairman Dave Wetzel said: "Almost 40,000 people use public transport to reach Bromley town centre each day, making it one of London's most important travel interchanges."
The centre was developed in partnership with South East London Transport Strategy, which contributed £50,000, and the Glades owners who gave a 15-year rent-free lease.
