Fear of kart noise ill-judged

I feel I have to comment on the gokarting at Westridge.

I live in Puckpool, quite close as the crow flies, and to date have heard the karts on one occasion.

My wife and I sit out in the evenings, especially as the weather has been so good this year.

On the occasion we heard the karts the wind was coming from that direction and I can only describe the noise as a very low hum much like a bee, so not at all disturbing.

During the planning procedure for the karts we were canvassed on several occasions to object to the idea of a kart track due to noise and other disadvantages it would create.

We did not object but many did.

I hope those who instigated the letters of objection will now have the decency to apologise to the management and agree they were wrong.
