A WOMAN in Anerley is offering a £200 reward for a video tape which was among electrical goods stolen from her home by burglars.

Gail Elias, 43, of Wheathill Road is devastated that a recording, of her daughter's first two years and of the last Christmas she spent with her father before he died, was taken in the haul.

She said: "I'm really gutted about the tape. I don't care about the camcorder because that can be replaced."

The burglars broke in through her back door while her husband, Marc, 40, was ill in bed on February 9.

Their haul also included a digital camera, a games console, a hi-fi system and half a dozen bottles of champagne.

But it is the tape Mrs Elias is desperate to get back and she hopes it might have been discarded because it is useless to anyone else.

The tape, which shows footage from 1995 to 1997 includes the Christmas before her father died suddenly from a heart attack, aged 65. "The tape is special because it shows him moving and has his voice on it," she said.

Anyone who can help with returning the tape should call 01689 885715.
