LETTERS From Dr Paul and Dr Jane Bowskill, Binstead:
WE had exemplary care from St Mary's Hospital and the ambulance service a week ago. My husband had a recurrence of a heart problem, which was more severe than usual.
The ambulance arrived promptly,he was seen immediately in A and E, and the coronary care unit were kind and efficient.
I was even offered a cup of coffee while waiting, surely beyond the call of duty.
In addition, I have been seen in the outpatient department twice — promptly, courteously, and with clear diagnosis and advice.
Between us we were NHS GPs for 75 years so we know how things can be, both at their best, and worst. We are impressed.
