Versatile Liz has taken a new job at The Walnuts Leisure Centre, in Orpington, to allow her more training time and it certainly paid off as she set a new championship best with a throw of 3.41m.

And stylish senior sprinter Nicole Bowring swept to another gold by winning the 400m in 55.09 as well as clinching silver in the 200m event.

Meanwhile, Bromley's international long jumper, Joyce Hepher, showed her class to win the event with a fantastic effort of 6.24m. And another perennial superstar, Maureen Milles, clinched bronze in the 800m.

In the under 20 events, Alison Jones ran as a sole competitor with the men to take gold in the 400m hurdles while Alberta Agyekum won silver in the 100m hurdles in a personal best time.

There were other personal bests in the under 20 section for Fran Doran, Nikki Baker, David Bussey, Phil Richards and David McKinglay.

Gold medals in the under 17 section went to Katerine Dawson in the 80m hurdles and Ellie Blackwell in the 300m.

Meanwhile, double mini-marathon champion Ella Fisher received tumultuous applause for breaking the five-minute mark in the under 15 1,500m and clinching gold at the same time.

But not far behind was team-mate Lizzie Kenny, who raised a few eyebrows herself as she clinched the silver medal with a personal best time of 5.05.6.

Amazingly, both Lizzie's and Ella's times would have put them in medal positions in the under 20 division.

And the versatile Layla Hawkins captured two silver and a bronze medal for impressive performances in the 200m, the long jump and the high jump.

Bromley AC is keen to recruit men, women, boys and girls for their team. Training takes place at Norman Park, in Hayes Lane, on Tuesday and Thursday at 6.45pm.
