Three promises from three generations of a Hanwell family have been made to preserve the character of their local park.
Grandmother Katrin FitzHerbert, 63, will discourage people from picking the flowers in Brent Lodge Park, her daughter, Kitty, 34, has pledged to carry a plastic bag with her and pick up litter in the park.
Granddaughter Jemima, three, is going to persuade as many of her friends as possible to visit the newly-planted Millennium Maze.
The maze is bigger than the famous Hampton Court maze, and is on the disused bowling green.
Designed by Ealing artist Zoe Fairman, it is made up of more than 2,000 yew trees which will eventually form a hedge 3ft wide, but there are observation platforms for parents afraid of losing their children for ever in the labyrinth.
