My daughter recently suffered the indignity of losing her wedding venue due to the fire at Ryde Castle.
Devastation gave way initially to the thought of cancellation for her wedding on April 14.
But we discovered the IW has some ready-made Samaritans. We would like to point out these to any other couples who have wedding plans.
Northwood House, under the auspices of Chris, readily supplied the venue, in a relaxed atmosphere. Gary’s company, Arrive in Style, supplied a vintage car in the nick of time, and we owe a mega thank you to Carol at the Caulkheads pub, in Sandown, who accommodated more than 100 guests for a sit-down meal and evening buffet with the minimum of fuss.
Chris, from Inspired Island Events, provided all the chair covers at the ceremony and Ellen Wade, at the Burlington Hotel, a room for the bride and groom.
Out of the darkness cometh light!
