LETTERS From Alan Bennett, Northwood:
SO there is good news for Island education in the wake of the Cowes Enterprise College debacle, with the promise of major rebuilds at Carisbrooke College and Christ the King College.
The question that has to be asked is; we all hope the council has learned a valuable lesson in how to supervise large building projects (something they should have been good at in the first place).
After the experience with Pihl UK Ltd, of Aberdeen, can we keep the jobs on these new builds on the Island?
We have some magnificent companies over here that, given enough notice and being familiar with the weather, roads, workforce and the IW Council, could probably do a very adequate job given the chance.
