Regarding the article on closure of schools in Borehamwood, I feel your so called "sources" should come clean and stop starting rumours weeks before the document is to be discussed.
It has caused uncertainty in schools, anxiety for parents, extra work for councillors answering letters. It is unfair to single out schools, as all parents who have read and responded to The Borehamwood Challenge know there is need for change and it will involve more than closure of two schools.
With three children at Monksmead I am not worried -- only incredulous that anyone can be so stupid.
Or is it just a ploy to divert attention from the real proposals, so they are accepted amid relief of these two schools being 'spared', as in the closure of Edgware casualty and maternity after the fuss about Barnet General's closure.
Thanks to Jim Dalton for his guarantee that no decision has been reached on October 1.
