ANIMALS will benefit from a generous donation of £745 which was presented to the Chalfont St Peter Adoption Centre run by the Blue Cross. The money was raised by Sainsbury's customers who participated in the scheme which sees 1p donated for recycled bags used in store.

The chosen charity for 2002 is Way In Chesham.

APOLOGIES but the Annual Book Sale is not on March 8 & 9, as I had stated, but on March 15 & 16.

JUMBLE Sale takes place at Chesham Youth Club in Bellingdon Road on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.

RUMMAGE Sale with lots of great bargains is in the Scout Hut at the rear of Emmanuel Church in Broad Street on Saturday at 2pm.

MODEL Railway Exhibition at the Elgiva on Saturday is a must for all train set enthusiasts.

RIVERSIDE walk from Lords Mill to McMinn's will benefit from clearing, cleaning and tidying as part of the Rotary Club project who will be providing the funds. The Mayor of Chesham, Tony Reed, has personally contributed £50 towards the project.

SPACE is still available on the WEA day course at the White Hill Centre on Friday, March 15. Victor Scott will be guiding participants through the Flora and Fauna of the Mediterranean. Call 01494 782848 for information. The one day course costs £15.
