WE recently spent two weeks on your Island which, despite the weather, was a very pleasant fortnight.
Deciding to take a stroll through Shanklin Old Village on our final evening we were delighted to hear live music coming from one of the bars.
What we found upon further investigation proved to be the highlight of our holiday, classic rock being played as only dedicated and extremely talented musicians can.
We joined a rapt and appreciative audience for what was one of the best live gigs we have ever been to.
Checking them out on Facebook on our return I was amazed to discover that not only was this a newly formed band, it was their first gig!
Well, IW, if this is representative of the musical talent on your Island you could add a Festival of Rock to your growing number of events, and as for the band Riff Raff, this may have been your first gig guys but with talent like that it certainly won’t be your last.
