LETTERS From Derek Atkins, St Helens:
WELL done.... to the builders for perservering with the bad weather and the council for paying for the new St Helens sea wall. It certainly looks very neat and tidy compared to how it’s looked like for many years now.
The only down side I can see is the nicely laid concrete footpath lacks the "old world" charm it used to have.
Still, if it brings in more holidaymakers it can only be a good thing and hopefully will eventually pay for itself.
