This year saw more than £25,000 awarded to 162 athletes from clubs all over the country and the Harriers easily had more recipients than any other club.

The Blackheath seven include two members of Langley Park Girls School, Katy Porter and Sam Singer.

Katy is nationally ranked in both the 100 metres and 400m hurdles and is set to become a regular fixture on TV screens as she helps host the Energize programme. Sam receives her award for her exploits over the 400m and 800m.

Other awards go to former AAA's Indoor Under 20's 60m champion Jonathan Barbour, 110m hurdler and senior mens team captain Mensah Elliott, former World Junior 800m finalist Chris Moss, top junior sprinter Dwayne Grant and junior international 400m hurdler Nange Ursell.
