I am writing to you about the photograph of Campions School pupils going on an outing in the 1960s (Community History, January 24). Although I do not recognise any pupils in the photo, I was also a Campions tripper. I remember Mr Harry Hilton very well.
These were some of the best years of my school life. With Mr Hilton, Mr J Lear, Mr Van Gresthousen and Mr Williams, I rock-climbed in North Wales, caved in Yorkshire, pot-holed in Derby, skied in Austria and learnt some French, Geography and sport along the way, thanks to the Campions School.
